How do I place a hold on an item?
Answer
You can place a hold on an item using Ritter's online catalog, the CLEVNET app, or with Ritter staff.
To place a hold using the online catalog, search for your desired title. You will see search results for books, large print books, audiobooks, periodicals, and digital items. Use the drop down list next to the home icon to narrow the search results, if desired. Once you have located the desired item, click the orange "place hold" button. You will be prompted to enter your library card number and PIN. The PIN number is usually the last four digits of the phone number associated with your library account- if you are unable to login, please call the library at 440-967-3798. Once logged in, choose your desired pickup location and click "place hold."
If you are new to using the CLEVNET app, you will need to first sign in with your library account. You will use your full library card number and PIN. The PIN number is usually the last four digits of the phone number associated with your library account- if you are unable to login, please call the library at 440-967-3798. Once you are signed in, use the search bar to locate your desired title. You may filter your results by format, if desired. Once you have located your item, tap "place hold."
Alternatively, you may call the library at 440-967-3798 and a staff member will assist you in placing a hold. We are unable to provide estimates of when your hold will become available. You will receive an automated notification - by phone, text, or email depending on your preference- once your item is available for pickup.
